Pakistan and Hong Kong will compete against one another in a virtually knockout encounter for the final position in the Asia Cup Super 4s. Both teams are still in danger of being eliminated after being defeated by India in their respective group stage openers.
It makes sense that Pakistan would enter the match as the clear favourite. In the first game, the Men in Green gave a heroic performance against the Indians. Things would have turned out differently for Babar Azam & Co. if not for Hardik Pandya's valiant efforts and Naseem Shah's injury.
The Indians, on the other hand, handed Hong Kong a 40-run defeat in the most recent game after Suryakumar Yadav put on one of the best T20 batting performances. With a half-century against Hong Kong, Virat Kohli also returned to form.
Pakistan and Hong Kong would be playing each other in a T20 International match for the first time. Even though it appears to be a challenging assignment for Hong Kong, nothing is guaranteed in T20I cricket.
