Users of Google Translate can always save their search history to their Google account. This feature has been planned for at least 2 years, but it is only now being made available.
The current search history tool on Translate is now accessible for all users, according to Android Police (via 9to5Google). Users will receive a message that says "Back up your translation history," with alternatives like "Manage history" and "use Translate without an account" for those who don't want their data stored up in the cloud. It's worth mentioning that updating translation history has no effect on the user's locally saved translation data.
Users can star their favorite translations for easy access from the home screen
Within the settings, the History option shows all of the user's prior translation requests in chronological order. You may also star any translation to make it easier to find later. These products can be found by tapping the Star icon in the upper left corner of the app's home screen.
Users who save their Google Translate data to the cloud can view their translations from any device. Users will, of course, need to be logged into the their Google accounts. "The Translation app syncs your device's history to the cloud. Your translations are immediately saved to the cloud when you sign in," Google claims on its support page.
The Google Account settings for the app are opened by tapping your profile symbol and then "History." Easily log out of your Google account if you don't want to see your translation record on your new device. Users can even delete their whole translation history if they so desire.
A number of new features have recently been added to Google Translate for Android. Early last month, the app acquired a Material You lockscreen widget. This is a significant improvement over the traditional 11 home screen shortcut, which had a number of drawbacks. The redesigned widget is more visually appealing while also boosting functionality. It also looks like the updated Google Maps widget on the homepage.
